2014 Houston Region Family Conference, a Successful and Blessed Conference.
2014 Houston Region family Conference concluded with Holy Qurbana on Saturday June 14th.,2014. Rev. Fr. Timothy Thomas (Tenny Achen - North East American Diocese ) was the chief celebrant for the concluding day Holy Qurbana. Along with the Diocesan Metropolitan all Vicars and Clergies from Houston Region parishes attended the Holy Qurbana.
The conference started on Thursday June 12 9am immediately after the flag hoisting with morning prayer. Diocesan Metropolitan His Grace Alexios Mar Eusebius led the morning prayer. Over 480 plus attendees registered and attended the conference from all 10 parishes in the Houston region. Respective parishes in the Houston region are St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Cathedral, Houston, St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, Houston, St. Stephen's Indian Orthodox Church, Houston, St. Mary's Indian Orthodox Church, Houston, St. George Indian Orthodox Church, San Antonio, St. Mary's Indian Orthodox Church, San Antonio, St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, Austin, St. Thomas Indian Orthodox Church, Lufkin, St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, New Orleans and St. Gregorios Indian Orthodox Church, McAllen.
Rev. Fr. Zachariah Ninan ( Lijesh Achen , Mar Baselios Dayara Njaliakuzhy, Vakathanam) led the Malayalam sections on Thursday June 12th and Friday June 13th for the adults. Rev. Fr. Timothy Thomas ( North East American Diocese ) led the English sections on both the days for the youth and Sunday school kids.
2014 Houston Region Family Conference Committe
Rev. Fr. Mammen Mathew ( Conference Convener) , Mr. Nicholas Ninan ( Conference Secretary , St. Mary’s Church, Houston ) and Mr. Philip Philipose (Conference Treasurer, St. Stephens Houston ) led various 2014 Family Conference Committees. MGOCSM members from the respective parishes of the region were the main members of this years family conference committee.
