Diocesan Center Chapel Construction Status & Fundraising Raffle Updates

By the grace of God, the planning for the construction of the chapel at the Diocesan Center is progressing well. The county has approved the mitigation plan partially, and we will be able to start the construction soon. The drawings and plans by the engineers have been completed, and we are currently in the process of collecting quotes for the construction. In order to proceed with a contract for the construction, it is necessary to have a base amount on hand and an assurance for the rest of the finances related to the project.

Attached is the list of the individuals who hold the responsibilities of this fundraising program in the Regional/ area and the Diocesan level. Parish coordinators has to work along with these office bearers. Those parishes who have not appointed the parish coordinators has to appoint at least one individual to be part of the Regional Organizing Committee and they will be responsible to distribute tickets, track sales, and keep accounts including the collection of contributions within the parish. In addition to the Regional Convener, Regional Coordinator and Parish Coordinators, all area Clergy, Malankara Association members, Diocesan Council and Assembly members, Parish Managing Committee members, and leaders of all the spiritual organizations should take an active role to promote the diocesan fundraising efforts and support the regional committee in their needs.
A detailed brochure has been prepared to aid in promoting the fundraiser, and the electronic copy of the brochure is attached herewith. The printed copies of the brochure will be mailed as well. We are requesting a minimum of 5 tickets to be distributed to each family within a parish. Each family can either make their contribution by purchasing the tickets for their own or seek to distribute the tickets among friends and relatives outside of the parish
We again seek your cooperation and support in this first major fundraising initiative within our diocese since its formation. Your contributions and efforts will lead to the successful completion of the first phase of the diocesan center projects; a spiritual center that we pray will continually radiate the Apostolic Faith and treasures of the Malankara Orthodox Church in North America.
