On Monday, October 12, 2015, His Grace Alexios Mar Eusebius, Metropolitan of the Diocese of South-West America participated in the prayer service led by His Holiness Pope Tawadrous II at St. Mark Coptic Orthodox Church in Houston, Texas.
Pope Tawadros II is the 118th and current Pope of Alexandria & Patriarch of the See of St. Mark, succeeding the late Pope Shenouda III as leader of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Alexandria.
His Holiness is currently on a 3 week Apostolic Visit to United States, which includes stops in Atlanta, Fort Lauderdale, Nashville, Houston, Dallas, Arizona and Los Angeles.
The Coptic Orthodox Church and the Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church are sister churches, belonging to the family of Oriental Orthodox Churches.
