His Holiness Shenouda III, Pope and Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church of Egypt has passed away

His Holiness Shenouda III, Pope and Patriarch of the Coptic Orthodox Church ofEgypt has passed away. Pope Shenouda III was 88 years old. Pope Shenouda was a defender of the Orthodox faith and led the Coptic Orthodox church for four decades. The body of the late Coptic Patriarch will lie in repose for two days in Abbasiya cathedral and will be  laid to rest on Tuesday 20th March, 2012 at  St. Bishoy monastery in Wadi Natrun, Cairo.
