Honorable Indian Consul General Mr. Parvathaneni Harish visits Diocesan Center
Honorable Consul General Mr. Parvathaneni Harish visited the Diocesan Metropolitan, His Grace Alexios Mar Eusebius, at the Diocesan Center on September 27, 2012. His Grace Dr. Yakoob Mar Irenios ( Diocesan Metropolitan Of Kochi Diocese ) and local Houston area clergies, Very Rev. Gheevarghis Aroopala Corepiscopa , Rev. Fr. Mammen Mathew, Rev. Fr. Dr. V. C. Varghese, Rev. Fr. Koshy P John, Rev. Fr. P M Cheriyan, Rev Fr. Varghese Thomas, Rev Fr. Joel Mathew and Rev. Dn. Shawn Mathew joined the Diocesan Metropolitan to welcome the Consulate General to the Diocesan center.
Mr.Koshy Thomas ( CEO voice of Asia) , Mrs Mr.Koshy Thomas, Mr. Charly Varghese Padanilam ( Diocesan Council Member ) , Mr. Abraham Eapen ( FOKANA Foundation Chairman, Ex Diocesan Ad-Hoc Committee Member ), Mr. Manoj Mathew ( Diocesan Public Relations Officer ), Mr. Baby Thomas ( Diocesan Assembly member), Mr Rooy Eapen , Mr.Ajoob Chakacheril and Mr.Moncy Kuriakose were also present on the occasion.
Mr. Parvathaneni Harish was accompanied by his wife Nandita and daughter Amani. The Consul General expressed his pleasure in visiting the Orthodox Diocesan Center and also requested the support and cooperation of all the Orthodox community in Houston. On behalf of the Diocese a special gift was presented to Hon. Consul General and his wife Mrs. Nandita by the Diocesan Metropolitan as a token of appreciation.
Consul General Mr. Parvathaneni Harish assumed the office of CGI - Houston on July 30, 2012.
Honarable Consulate General of India Harish joined the Indian Foreign Service in 1990. He learnt Arabic at the American University of Cairo and passed the examination with distinction. He has served in Indian Mission in Cairo and Riyadh and headed the post as Indian Representative to the Palestinian Authority stationed in Gaza city. He thereafter worked in the East Asia and External Affairs. He also worked as the Joint Secretary and Officer on Special Duty to the Hon'ble Vice President of India Mr. Hamid Ansari. Hon. Harish grew up in Vijayawada, attended NSM Public School, Layola College and graduated from Osmania University, Hyderabad with a Mechanical Engineering degree.
