OVBS 2010 at Cleveland, St Gregorios Church

Cleveland : St Gregorios Malankara Orthodox Church,Cleveland conducted the first Orthodox Vacation Bible School from June 25- 27. The theme of this year was “The Teacher is here and is calling for you” (St John 11.28). Vicar Fr.John.K.Vaidyan lead the inaugural prayer and Sunday School Headmistress Julie Raju welcomed the students and teachers to OVBS 2010.

Anu Kurien introduced the theme of OVBS 2010. Mathew Johns led the OVBS songs section and kids where taught songs in English, Malayalam, Hindi .Teachers . Levi Mathew, Joyce Joseph, Binu Joyce, Ancy Vinoy, Anu Kurien, and Dr. Thomas Mathew where the lead co-ordinators. Apart from the songs sections the kids enjoyed interactive sessions, arts and craft workshops, theme learning, Bible quiz, skits and games.

Vicar Fr. John Vaidyan celebrated the Holy Qurbana on final day of OVBS 2010 and all students and teachers received Holy Communion. A procession was arranged immediately after the Qurbana around the church and OVBS 2010 ended up with a love feast organized by the teachers and volunteers of the parish.
