St. Mary’s Church, Dallas (Farmers Branch) elevated to the status of “Valiyapally”

His Holiness Moran Mar Beselius Mar Thoma Paulose II, Catholicose of the East & Malankara Metropolitan elevated  St. Mary’s Malankara Orthodox Church , Farmers Branch, Texas to the status of “Valiyapally” (Great Church).

St. Mary’s Malankara Orthodox Church is conveniently located close to I-635 & I-35E in Farmers Branch, TX on an approximately four acres of land. This energetically growing parish is one of the largest parishes in the Southwest Diocese of America. One hundred and twenty faithful families from all over the DFW area are currently worshipping in this parish.

This Parish was originally established in 1973 at Forney Rd, Dallas and moved into the current location at Farmers Branch in 1989. As the parish grew, a new facility was built in 2010 and was consecrated by His Holiness Moran Mar Beselius Mar Thoma Paulose II, Catholicose of the East & Malankara Metropolitan on May 13th and 14th of May 2011.
